New job :) and celebrating in Covent Garden

Hey again guys!

Hope you've all been good, soooo I have some news! I've got a new job! Not going far from the Enquiry Unit, only upstairs to the International Office! But a new battle nonetheless, I am hoping to learn lots of new things and work with lots of new people, so hopefully the change will be good.. but this may be my last blog for a while… I know Que the violins (plays soft sad music in the background)

But anyhoooo to celebrate my new job, my better half decided to take me out for the day! One stress free day with no university, work or life to worry about!

So we started our day by going into Central London, specifically Covent Garden, we went to this lovely little restaurant called Steak and Co! The food was lovely! He had a steak and I had chicken as always! But it was lovely we sat near the doors so the lovely cold wind came in.

The steak was cooked rare but came on a heated slab which meant I could cook it properly (because I don’t like anything being red or ‘partially cooked’ so I tried a little and surprisingly it was quite nice!

I had a chicken skewer hanging over chips which needed a bit of seasoning but was yummy nevertheless!

Anyway we then went down to Haagen Daaz which was like a 5 minute walk down, and I had a summertime cone and he had some Nut concoction! And some milkshake and non-alcoholic drink that I forgot the name of already ¬_¬

There is this little shop just near Covent Garden called Spun Candy, and oh my is it fabulous! They make all their hard rock candy in store, you can even get them personalized! Which is amazing and you can taste different flavours too! I must warn you though some are nicer than the others!

We then went for a little bus journey down to Embankment and walked down from the Millennium walking bridge down to Namco Funscape where we proceeded to spend all of our money on the crab claw machine ¬_¬

And thus ends my celebration day!

I think I will continue to blog.. but we’ll see how it goes…

Hopefully not ...Goodbye!

Bad food trip

Hey there!

So since my last blog I’ve done a LOT of relaxation and shopping!

I took my little sister and my hubbys little brother to Westfield the one in White City.. There are not many kid-friendly places to eat there so we settled for Pie and Mash and the boys settled for some sort of Mexican wrap concoction.. Then the kids wanted ice cream so we went to Snog! First time ever might I add and quite possibly the last!!

It was horrid and overpriced I would take Ben and Jerrys or Baskins Robbins ANYDAY! The worst thing was the kids didn’t even finish the ice cream and only ate the toppings! Apart from leaving a dent in my bank balance it was a nice day overall! Sunny, but not too hot so perfect I would say, mainly because I hate the sun and heat (Winter baby you see)..

A couple days later we decided to try Bubbleolgy whilst at Westfield Stratford.. everyone including my aunt had been bigging it up like it was the next best thing to sliced bread. It wasn’t. It really was not! It was actually so bad, so so bad, words can’t even describe. The little black balls at the bottom were just gross.

We then decided to try some Thai food in Westfield. It wasn’t very nice to be fair, but I tried. Miserably but at least the lady at the till was nice, I’m pretty sure it was called Rosa’s but not my cup of tea unfortunately!

But on the plus side I went into Lush and bought some lovely skin products! They don’t smell lovely but they’re doing wonders to my skin at the moment. All natural and all that too!

But sadly this is the end of my blog for today, I think I’ll have some bittersweet news the next blog if all goes well, or not well whichever way you take it.

See ya x

Exams, essays and more Cinderella

Hey Guys!

I haven’t done much the last couple days! Unfortunately exams and essays have been preoccupying me! But I went to watch Cinderella twice before university life caught up with me! But it was amazing both times. The first time with my best friend and the second with the little ones!

I don’t think I could sit through it again though, not with Avengers coming out tomorrow!

Anyway, I’ve been told that my blog is turning into a foodie blog, so I would hate to disappoint! We were recently in Oxford Street doing shopping as you do.. and we thought lets go out for some lunch, so I googled Halal places around Oxford Circus, we found a place called Tasty Lebanon, the food was good, but the customer service was horrid!

I had falafel and hummus to start and a chicken sheesh (I think it was) as my main, my partner had what was supposed to be a lamb kebab roll, which pretty much wasn’t! The man made no effort whatsoever to wrap the wrap! And to top it off he made us get up to get our food ourselves! When he went and gave everyone else there food to their tables!

Anyways bad food service aside! Me and my little sister made a cake! The first one in a while, I tried my best to make it ombre, I’m not sure if you guys can see it! But it tasted quite nice! Layered with chocolate and cream.. YUM!

But anyway until the next blog, which will include more yummy food!

Goodbye xx

Mother’s Day, Apps and Misc.

So following on from my last blog, I left it at Alexandra Palace… It also happened to be Mother’s Day. Now we don’t usually do anything for Mother’s Day because my mum doesn’t care much for presents and things ¬_¬

So I decided I’d just buy some flowers… 6pm on a Sunday night ¬_¬ there was pretty much no flowers whatsoever near Alexandra Palace apart from a little £3 bouquet for Morrisons, so I thought I’ll just grab it, if I find something later then I’ll just mix them, if not at least I’ve got something.

So we started making our way back home, then I walked into Co-op and I found flowers! Not a lot but flowers none the less, I grabbed the pinkiest punch I could, which was tiny and overpriced but together with the bunch I had already bought it seemed decent! I picked up the cutest little tea-for-one set I could and made my way home..

My little sister who is 4 years old was asleep ¬_¬ which was pretty annoying seeing as she told me to buy my mum something in the morning, so I woke her up and got her to pick up the flowers and take it down to my mum, she then proceeded to fall back asleep..

The next morning we had Morning Tea... It was quite nice and she now calls it ‘Special Breakfast’ which she enjoys a lot! But what’s more exciting is that CINDERELLA is coming out!

1 day! It’s my favourite book ever! So I’m planning on watching it no less than 3 times! Once on Friday then with my baby sister and my boyfriends baby sister too!

But I’ve still got essays and essays to do! So Boo for me! I think I need a holiday ASAP!

Maybe in May….

Until next Month xxx

All things Springy…

Hi again guys,

Well this month hasn’t been particularly exciting if I’m honest. It has just dawned on me that I have quite a boring life… This month has mostly been 10-3pm lectures EVERYDAY! Yes 5 days a week ¬_¬

These early mornings have been killing me softly… I don’t think there’s enough hours in the day for me to sleep! But anyhow I have had to manage work, university and getting all of my things ready to move houses!

To top it off I have 4 essays due in within days of each other, but I am definitely on top of it, I spent last Sunday sitting at a table combing through the same serious case review about 9 times, yes 9 times, 30 pages to make sure I had all the information I needed!

On the plus side I’ve had relaxing time to, watching loads of movies in the cinema! My boyfriend and I went to Chiquito for date night this week, I must say I was pleasantly surprised at the food there, it was quiet but the décor was beautiful, even the walls in the toilet were nice LOOOOL!

I would definitely recommend going to Chiquito, they also give 25% student discount, which doesn’t hurt either!

Last week, I was working on Sunday to set up the stalls at a UCAS event it was at Alexandra Palace this year, and it was BEAUTIFUL! It was massive and we got lost inside! AND I got stuck in a lift! I always hated lifts but this time I actually got stuck in one! It was for 10 minutes and obviously as soon as we started to take a lift selfie the doors opened but oh well at least we got out!

Anyways until the next blog xx

Food!

I think I’ll talk about food this month lots and lots of food..

Some would say that it is stress eating but I just like eating food and things I shouldn’t! Chinese has been high on my list lately, I am really into eating Chinese at the moment, noodles especially! I think it’s all the Chinese New Year adverts and Hungry House sending me emails to order Chinese every other day!

Following on from that PANCAKE DAY! I always feel like eating pancakes 2 weeks before Pancake day and my pancakes came out round, like a roti LOL with everything possible Nutella, jam, lemon and sugar and honey! And my little sister has asked for them for breakfast every morning!

The famous Jerk Chicken Burger from Loaded Burger is amazing! I love eating chicken lol, fried or grilled. And their Mojitos are so nice I would definitely recommend them to you guys !

I recently went to try a place called Khana Kazana in Green Street, it wasn’t too bad I wanted to have the Chicken Chow Mein but they didn’t have it so I settled for a Chicken Tikka roll! Which was much needed after traipsing up and down Green Street looking at Wedding Dresses!

That night I felt like I ran a marathon! My feet were aching so my boyfriend treated me to some Macaroons and Elle and Brides magazine! The perfect combo with Scandal in the background! I’m on season 4 now by the way!

Just before Valentines Day we were sitting in the office having a laugh about how expensive things get and that me and my boyfriend don’t do anything cheesy on Valentines day well we don’t normally! But this time he bought me a heart shaped cooking and another Louboutin nail polish and a White Rose, it was red but red is too cheesy! And guess how much it cost? £10!! FOR ONE ROSE could have just gone to Lidl and bought 40 roses for that much ¬_¬

Anyways after that we went shopping for our weekly shop and obviously with Easter coming up all the easter eggs are coming out! And I think I saw the weirdest one ever! Marmite and Pot Noodles!
LOL who would buy them! But I'm pretty sure some people would they are just chocolate eggs after all LOL!

But anyway I need to stop talking about food and shopping now, I don’t think my account would appreciate anymore spending!

A series of unfortunate events (well not quite)

The past couple weeks I have been debating about what I should write my blog about this week, I have decided to share the unfortunate events that have happened over the last couple of weeks with you guys… Sounds worse than it is to be honest LOL.
Right where to begin.. As you all know I am a very proud Social Work student, I recently started my placement (well November) and I enjoyed it for the first couple of weeks, then it started going downhill… FAST!
They teach you what to do during your placement, how to do it, what to do if you have a problem, who to speak to… that would be your practice educator.. But what they don’t teach you is what to do when it all goes wrong.. This is what happened with me… things Snowballed swiftly…
I started to have issues to put it lightly, it started off with my placement learning agreement meeting.. you know in books like Of Mice and Men, all that foreshadowing you don’t even need to read the end or in films when something happens and your sat there thinking run away now don’t go towards the noise! That’s basically what happened, alarm bells started going off in my head, but I enjoyed it so I stayed and then came the day when I had enough, it wasn't working out so we mutually agreed it was better to not carry on the placement…
The university and my tutor was amazing! She sat through everything with me and was by my side to support me every step of the way! One thing I would recommend is that you should take full advantage of your tutors and make sure you keep them sweet! They will always be there to support and help you when you need them! So honestly make sure you go to them when you need help…
And then to top it all off, with the stress of my life and placement and uni, smarty pants here accidentally submitted my Law essay onto the originality part and didn't realise that I hadn't actually submitted it properly until a month later… so I am waiting to hear back in regards to that!
But I haven’t let it put me down and I will continue to work the hardest I possibly can and to the best of my capabilities regardless of what is happening and going on!
Anyway to continue on with my series of unfortunate events or fortunate, depends if you’re a glass half full or empty kind of person… we will be moving houses soon, as if my life wasn't stressful enough already! And to top it all off I just painted and wallpapered my room just to sell our house and move to a new one ¬_¬
All of these early mornings are killing me, I feel like there aren't enough hours in the morning to sleep! I recently started watching Scandal season 4, if you don’t know about it then it’s about this lawyer who is in love with the President of the United States but she is also this awesome Lawyer who wins all of her cases and stuff…
Anyhoooo, I started watching season 4 (The latest one) and I thought can’t do this, I need to watch it from the beginning or I’ve missed the whole plot! So I’ve started watching it from season 1, I am currently 2 days in and on Season 2 already! I really need to get some sleep and stop watching Scandal when I should be sleeping!
And the WORST in my 4 part series of unfortunate events has to be 50 Shades of Grey, it was quite possibly the worst movie I have ever watched in my life, I mean I knew it was going to be bad but not as bad as it was, we were literally sitting in the back laughing at how bad it was! On the plus side there were some good movies this month, American Sniper was really good! I think anyone and everyone should watch the film to understand how war can impact family lives and relationships.
Kingsman was really good, it was funny and really did live up to the hype! It was different, just when you thought one thing was going to happen another thing did, not your usual movie!
Anyway for now my series of unfortunate events has ended.. well probably not to be fair but it’s getting there…
And I am too tired to write anymore, so until the next blog…
Zàijiàn (Goodbye)

(Oh by the way I am also going to learn how to speak Chinese/Mandarin)
